What Basisproof is

Basisproof recomputes a Hyperliquid trading record from public venue and on-chain data — fill-by-fill realized PnL, funding, signed fees, boundary flows, and cost basis under the method you select — and reconciles the result against the venue's own published series. The paid deliverable is a verified, organized record: a report page, a PDF document, and row-level CSV exports.

Basisproof is not a CPA firm, auditor, tax adviser or filing service. Nothing in the product or on this site is tax, legal or accounting advice. Classification decisions — what counts as income, which basis method applies, how each row lands on a return — remain with you and your tax professional.

What you buy

An order prices by the number of fills in the window you select (merged orders by the combined count across addresses). Payment is a plain USDC transfer on Arbitrum, Base or Ethereum to the address shown on your order page; the on-chain transaction is your receipt, and the report unlocks once the transaction confirms.

Your report lives at a bearer URL containing an order code. That code is the only credential — there are no accounts and no passwords. Anyone holding the link can view the report, so treat it like a password. If you lose it, we can re-deliver it to the email on the order.

Reports can be re-verified on demand within the ordered window. Large reports refresh at most once per day; compute is real.

What the numbers are

Every figure is recomputed from public data: fills from an independent chain indexer, funding and ledger from the venue's own endpoints, account values from the venue's published series. Where the venue's own series disagree — as they do on some builder-dex accounts — the measured disagreement is printed in the report's disclosure annex rather than silently resolved.

Exchange-carried basis (Kraken/Coinbase) relies on the exports you provide and a documented matching heuristic. Rows the evidence cannot prove are reported as unknown — never invented. Spot inventory moved between merged addresses does not carry basis in this version; that limitation is disclosed in the annex.

Because the inputs are public records, a report can only be as complete as the underlying data and the evidence supplied. Coverage flags, truncation markers and unknown-basis counts are part of the deliverable, not defects.

Acceptable use

Use the service for your own records and your own filings. Do not abuse the API endpoints, attempt to enumerate order codes, or present the report as an audit, attestation or tax advice to third parties.

Order codes are drawn randomly and endpoints are rate-limited. Automated attempts to discover codes or flood preparation work will be blocked.

No warranties; liability

The service is provided as-is. We work hard to make every number re-derivable and we disclose every known limitation in writing, but we do not warrant that a report is free of error or suitable for a particular filing position.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is capped at the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for tax outcomes, penalties, or decisions made on the basis of the report.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the current version lives at /terms. For anything unclear — or a dispute about an order — email [email protected] with your order code first and we will work it out.
